The MOP CAP 2013 Shortlist Exhibition, featuring the work of the 19 shortlisted artists, was held at the Emirates Financial Towers in Dubai from 18-23 March 2013. The exhibition featured artwork by 19 emerging Iranian artists identified from over 450 applicants through an open call. The Shortlisted artists were chosen by the MOP CAP 2013 Selection Committee, which included Fereshteh Daftari, Curator and Scholar; Media Farzin, Art Historian and Critic; and Hamid Severi, Art Historian and Curator.
The exhibition opened with a Private Preview on Monday 18 March, in the presence of HE Humaid Mohammed Al Qutami, Minister of Education, UAE.

Prior to the exhibition, the MOP CAP 2013 Judging Panel met to deliberate and selected seven Finalists whose names were announced during the Private Preview by Dr Anthony Downey, Programme Director of Sotheby's Institute.
The MOP CAP 2013 Judging Panel includes: Philippa Adams, Senior Director of the Saatchi Gallery, London; Dr Ziba Ardalan, Founder, Director and Curator of Parasol Unit, London; Mat Collishaw, artist; Dr. Anthony Downey, Programme Director, MA Contemporary Art, Sotheby's Institute, London; Irit Rogoff, Writer, Theorist and Professor of Visual Cultures, Goldsmith’s College, London; and Payam Sharifi, Co-Founder of Slavs and Tatars.
